Delete your MoneyRemind account

You can delete your account and all of its data at any time. Deletion happens right away and can't be undone.

Delete in the app (fastest)

  1. 1Open MoneyRemind and sign in.
  2. 2Open Menu and tap your name at the top.
  3. 3Tap Personal details, then Delete account.
  4. 4Confirm with your password, or by signing in with Google or Apple again if you use one of them.

Your account is deleted immediately and you get a confirmation email.

Can't open the app?

Email [email protected] from the address you signed up with, with the subject “Delete my account”. We'll confirm the request comes from you and delete the account within 30 days, usually much sooner.

What is deleted

  • Your account, profile and sign-in sessions
  • Transactions, payments, repeating payments and installments
  • Groups, people labels, budgets and savings goals
  • Groups you shared, with everything in them (members lose access)
  • Photos, your profile photo and support attachments
  • Support messages, Assistant data and AI usage records
  • Your memberships in other people's shared groups
  • Your customer record at RevenueCat, our subscription service

What may be kept

  • Entries you added to someone else's shared group. They belong to that group's owner and no longer show your name.
  • Security log entries, without your IP address and device details, for up to 2 years
  • Purchase-step records, no longer linked to you, for up to 180 days
  • One-way hashes of your email and of the app's device key, only so the free Premium trial can't be used twice
  • Apple's DeviceCheck mark that the trial was used on your device. Apple keeps it, and it holds no identity.
  • Purchase receipts at Apple or Google, and copies held by our email and hosting providers, under their own retention
  • If an email to you bounced or was marked as spam, a one-way hash of the address, so we don't send to it again

Your subscription is not cancelled automatically

Deleting your account doesn't cancel a Premium subscription. To stop future charges, cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account, before or after deleting.
